Course overview

The Life, Disability, and Health Insurance strand gives students an in-depth understanding of the life, disability, and health insurance market, concepts, legislation and codes of conduct that are of particular relevance to the provision of life, disability, and health insurance services, in order to provide services in a professional manner. Risk management principles are applied to life, disability, and health insurance situations, and the relationship between insurance needs and life, disability, and health product types are considered in the context of identifying appropriate solutions. In addition the processes for creating, maintaining (including reviewing) and ending life, disability, and health insurance contracts are covered.
