Course overview
Core strand is mandatory for all students who want to complete the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5). For students who are new to the industry, we recommend undertaking Core strand prior to completing your preferred specialist strand. Completion of Core strand will ensure candidates can:
- Act in the best interest of the client by demonstrating professional practice in the application of legislation, regulations, ethics, risk and compliance common to all sectors of the financial services industry.
- Apply research and analysis processes to develop fit for purpose financial solutions.
- Operate with understanding of the economic environment, and its connection to financial institutions, systems and markets, and their interdependencies.
